CAUTION
Synchronizing and Positioning the Display
The analyzer provides a CRT adjustment feature which can be used to get
an external monitor to synchronize properly, and to optimize the display’s
position. The following list explains how to use the CRT adjust features.
The CRT adjust settings also affect the analyzer’s built-in display.

Press [SYSTEM OPTIONS] Sya3tam Gcmfig CRT Adjust . When this key
is pressed a test pattern appears on the monitor(s). If you don’t want the
test pattern on the display while adjusting it, press Remove Pattern .
If your external monitor is a sync-on-green-signal monitor, press the
Spc G~EHXI QEL OFF key to enable the sync-on-green capability.
Use the Vsrt;ical Pcrsitiun and Horizrsntdt Paei%ian keys to vary
the display’s position on the monitor. After pressing one of these softkeys,
use the front panel knob, the @) (JJ keys, or the numeric keypad to vary
the position of the display on the monitor.
For synchronizing your external monitor, use the
Vefiical Back Parch , Hmimmtal 3ack Porch ,
Vetiieal FXYX& Porch , and Hmizmtxl Front Porch keys to vary
the vertical and horizontal front and back porch times until the display is
optimal. Use Rrsstore Defaults if necessary.
All of these settings are retained when the analyzer is turned off or preset.
