Status Reporting
Accessing the Output Queue
The availability of data from the Test Set is summarized in the MAV bit of the
Status Byte Register. The MAV message is TRUE, logic 1, when there is data in
the Output Queue and FALSE, logic 0, when it is empty. The Output Queue is
read by sending a command, such as the HP Basic command ENTER, and waiting
(if necessary) for data to become available. After data is read, subsequent bus
messages will be processed.

Questionable Data/Signal Register Group
The Questionable Data/Signal Register Group contains information about the
quality of the Test Set’s output and measurement data, and the SMB from the
Calibration Status Register Group.
The Status Byte Register summary message associated with the Questionable
Data/Signal Register Group is bit three.
Figure 25 shows the structure and STATus commands for the Questionable Data/
Signal Register Group.
Table 16 shows the Questionable Data/Signal Register Group Condition Register
bit assignments.
