Concentration limit of harmful gases
Besides, the contents of salt, acid, and sulfide in the equipment room of the router should be
strictly restricted. Harmful gases could accelerate the corrosion of metal parts and the aging of
some parts. Table 3-3 lists the concentration limit of SO

Ventilation Requirements
A horizontal fan tray is located on the upper part inside the router chassis. The fans of the
device draw air in through the inlet vents on the lower part and out through the exhaust vents
on the upper part. An A6616 configured with an RPE-X1 is taken as an example here. To ensure
a good ventilation system, make sure that:
There is a minimum clearance of 10 cm (3.9 in.) around the inlet vents and exhaust vents for
heat dissipation of the router chassis.
A ventilation system is available at the installation site.
