To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
Removing and replacing a midplane assembly
IMPORTANT:
All components must be removed to service the midplane assembly.
Procedure
1. Power down the server on page 24.
2. Disconnect the power and data cables from the rear of the chassis.
3. Remove the following components:
a. Servers (Remove the server from the chassis on page 27)
b. Power supplies (Removing and replacing a power supply on page 33)
c. System fans (Removing and replacing the system fan on page 36)
d. I/O modules (Removing and replacing the I/O module on page 31)
e. Management module (Removing and replacing the management module on page 30)
4. Remove the chassis from the rack on page 26.
5. Place the chassis on a flat, sturdy surface to support the chassis.
6. Remove the midplane assembly cover:
a. Remove the five screws on the top.
b. Remove the two screws on the sides.
