Remove the power button:
1. From the inside of the computer, lift the rear of the power button (1).
2. Remove the power button from the computer (2).
Reverse this procedure to install the power button.
Volume button
To remove the volume button, use this procedure and illustration.

Before removing the volume button, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 21).
2. Remove the bottom cover (Bottom cover on page 21).
3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 23).
4. Remove the USB board (see USB board on page 29).
Remove the volume button:
1. Remove the rubber bumper from the computer (1). Be sure to note the installation location of the
bumper.
