Antivirus Software
When you use the notebook for e-mail, network, or Internet
access, you expose the notebook to computer viruses. Computer
viruses can disable your operating system, applications, or
utilities or cause them to function abnormally.
Antivirus software can detect most viruses, destroy them, and in
most cases, repair damage they have caused. To provide
protection against newly discovered viruses, antivirus software
must be updated.
Norton AntiVirus is preinstalled on the notebook. For
information about using and updating the Norton AntiVirus
software:
» Select Start > All Programs > Norton AntiVirus >Help
and Support.
For more information about computer viruses:
1. Select Start > Help and Support.
2. Type
viruses into the Search field.
3. Press
enter.
