2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 40).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 41).
Remove the plastic brackets:
▲ Loosen the four screws securing the left and right plastic brackets (1), and then remove the plastic
brackets (2).
Reverse this procedure to install theplastic brackets.

Before removing the speakers, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 40).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 40).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 41).
Remove the speakers:
1. Disconnect the speaker cables from the system board (1).
2. Remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 2.0 screws (2) that secure each speaker to the computer.
