4. Remove the touchpad from the computer (2).
Reverse this procedure to install the touchpad.

Before removing theRTC battery, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 40).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 40).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 41).
Remove the RTC battery:
1. Position the removed system board upright.
