Redundant power supply backplane
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the drives and the
internal system components to cool before touching them.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to electrical components, take the appropriate anti-static
precautions before beginning any installation, removal, or replacement procedure. Improper
grounding can cause electrostatic discharge.
To remove the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 30).
2. Access the product rear panel (on page 33).
3. Release the power cord from the hook-and-loop strap.
4. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
5. Remove all installed power input modules ("Hot-plug power input module" on page 79).
6. Remove the server from the rack (on page 33).
7. Place the server on a sturdy, level surface.
8. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 40).
9. If installed, remove the primary PCI riser cage ("Remove the PCI riser cage" on page 35).
