To remove the display assembly and access the display assembly subcomponents, follow
these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the battery (see
Battery on page 32), and then remove the following components:
a. Service door (see
Service door on page 33)
b. Base enclosure (see
Base enclosure on page 55)
Remove the display assembly:
1. Turn the computer upside down, with the battery bay toward you.
2. Make sure that the WWAN antenna cables are disconnected from the WWAN module (see
WWAN module on page 38).
3. Make sure that the WLAN antenna cables are disconnected from the WLAN module (see
WLAN
module on page 40).
