Camera $el{odiagnosti¢ Tests
If you think your camera may be defective or malfunctioning in
some way, there is a diagnostic program (a set of eleven
different tests) that you can run on the camera to try to
determine the problem. Thefollowing are testedon the camera:
flash, lights, buttons, LiveView, color on the Image Display,
Audio Playback, R_ord Audio, optional memory card, and
internal memory.
NOTE The test is in English only.
Turn off the camera.
2 Hold down the Flash f. button on the back of the camera.
3 Turn on the camera while continuing to hold down the Flash
f- button on the back of the camera. A blue screen titled
CAMERA SELFoD_AGNOSTICSappears on the Image
Display. Releasethe Flash f button once the screen
appears.
4 Follow the simple instructions on the Image Display to
perform the set of tests.Some testswill tell you if the camera
passed or failed, while other testswill make the camera do
something, and you must check to see if the camera did it
correctly. If any of the testsfail, note which one(s)so that you
can provide this information when you contact HP Support.
The entire set of teststakes only a few minutes to complete.
5 To exit the diagnostic program at any point, simply turn off
the camera.
