2 PressZoom In Z_Zagain and hold it
until you reach the desired size in
the Image Display. A yellow frame
surrounds the area of the image
that will be captured. The
_sdution number on the right side
of the screenalso becomes smaller
as you digitally zoom. For example, 3.2MP appears in
place of 4MP, indicating that the image is being reduced to
a size of 3.2 Megapixels.
3 When the yellow frame is at the desired size, press the
Shutter button to take the picture.
Toturndigital zoomoff and returntoopticalzoom,pressZ_m
Out _ on theZoomles_runtildigital zoomingstops.Release
Zoom Out _, and then pressit again.
NOTE Digital zoom reducestheresolutionofan image,so
your picturewill tendto be more pixilatedthan thesame
imagetakenwithoptical zoom.If you justintendtoe-mail
an image or postit to a website,thislossof resolutionwill
notbe noticeable,but in situationswherethe highest
quality counts(suchasprinting), limitthe useof digital
zoom.It isalso recommendedto usea tripod whenusing
digital zoom.
Setting the Flash
NOTE Theflashdoesnotwork in Panoramamode,with the
Burstsetting,or while recordingvideoclips.
TheFlash _ button lets you cycle through the flash settings on
the camera. To change the flash setting, press the FJash
button until the desired setting appears in the Image Display.
