b_Pressthe Shutter button all the way down. If the Image
Display is on, a lO-second countdown appears on the
screen. The Self-Timer light on the front of the camera
then blinks for 10 seconds before the camera takes the
picture, tf you setthe camera to Sdf_Timer 2 Shots, the
Self-Timer light blinks for a few more seconds until the
second picture is taken.
NOTE If you immediatelypressthe Shutterbuttonall theway
downwithoutusing FocusLock,thecamerawill lock
focusand exposurejustbeforetheendof the 10-second
countdown.Thisis usefulwhen oneor moresubjectswill
be enteringthe pictureduring the 10-secondcountdown
period.
NOTE You cannot record audio with a still picture when using
the Sdf Timer settings, but you can add an audio clip later
(see R_ord Audio on page 83).
For Vid÷o CJ@s:
To start recording video, press the Video _i_ button and
then release it. If the Image Display ison, a 10-second
countdown appears on the screen. The Self-Timer light on
the front d the camera then blinks for 10 seconds before the
camera starts recording the video.
NOTE With either the Sdf_Timer or the Self-Timer _2 Shots
setting, only one video clip is recorded after the 10-
second countdown.
To stop recording the video clip, press the Video _ button
again; otherwise, the video will continue recording until the
camera runs out of memory.
