Before removing the battery, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 32).
2. Place the computer in Battery Safe mode (Battery Safe mode on page 32).
3. Remove the bottom cover (Bottom cover on page 33).
Remove the battery:
1. Remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 4.0 screws (1) that secure the battery to the computer.
2. Remove the broadhead Phillips M2.0 × 2.0 screw (2) that secures the battery to the computer.
3. Rotate the top of the battery up (3), and then lift the battery out of the computer (4).
Reverse this procedure to install the battery.
