Huawei AR120 Series - Replace a Fan Module

Step 5 Remove the power module.
1. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the captive screws on the power module.
2. Rotate the ejector levers outward to release the power cable from the slot.
3. Lowly pull the power module out of the slot along the guide rails.

Step 6 Install a new power module into the router. For details, see 7.3 Installing a Power Module.
Step 7 Connect the power cable to the power module.
l For details on how to connect the AC power cable, see 7.5.5 Connecting the AC Power
Cable.
l For details on how to connect the DC power cables, see 7.5.6 Connecting DC Power
Cables.
Step 8 Turn the power switch on the power module to the ON position.
Step 9 Use either of the following methods to check whether the new power module works normally:
l Check the indicator on the new power module. If the indicator is steady green, the power
module is working normally.
l Run the display device command to check the running status of the new power module.

Follow-up Procedure
After replacing the power module, collect all tools. If the replaced power module is faulty, fill
in the 9.7 Appendix G Fault Tag and send the faulty module with the Repair Transmission
Sheet to the equipment supplier or the specified repair service provider.
8.3 Replace a Fan Module
Context
Each fan module of an AR2240, AR3260, or AR3670 router has multiple fans. If one of fans
fails, replace the fan module to ensure normal heat dissipation in the router.
