Context
NOTICE
l Replacing a card interrupts services. Therefore, save the configurations before replacing
the card.
l To avoid damages to the card, do not touch the electronic components on the card during
the replacement.
l Unused cards or parts must be placed in ESD bags. Do not pack cards with common foam
materials, plastic bags, paper bags, or other packing materials without the ESD prevention
function.
l Vacant slots in the router must be covered with filler panels.
NOTE
The methods for replacing SIC, WSIC, XSIC, and SRU cards on routers are the same. The following
procedure replaces a SIC card on an AR2240 router.
