NOTICE
To install the DSP card and voice daughter card, first remove the chassis cover. Opening the
chassis for this purpose does not affect warranty of the router.
NOTE
The methods for installing a DSP card and voice daughter card in different router models are the same.
The following procedure installs a DSP card and voice daughter card in an AR2204 router.
Tools
l ESD wrist strap
l Phillips screwdriver
l Hex socket wrench
l Voice daughter card (optional part)
l DSP card (optional part)
Procedure
Step 1 Set the power switch to OFF.
Step 2 Wear an ESD wrist strap. Ensure that the ESD wrist strap is grounded and in a close contact
with your wrist.
Step 3 Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws on the top cover and two sides of the chassis
and remove the chassis cover.

Step 4 Install a DSP card.
Insert the DSP card in the DSP slot and close the locking latches.
