1.10 Configuration Examples
This section provides a SIPAG configuration example.
1.10.1 Example for Configuring a SIP AG
This section describes how to configure a SIP AG to transmit voice and data services.
Networking Requirements
As shown in Figure 1-2, the SIP AG is directly connected to user terminals and exchanges media
and signaling streams with the MGC on the IMS. Users connect to the IMS through the SIP AG
to use voice, data, and multimedia services.

Configuration Roadmap
The configuration roadmap is as follows:
1. Configure the AR1200 to work in SIP AG mode.
2. Create SIP AG users and set parameters for the SIP AG interface.
3. Set parameters of SIP AG users.
Data Preparation
To complete the configuration, you need the following data:
l Interface through which the SIP AG exchanges media and signaling streams with the MGC:
Ethernet1/0/0
l IP address of Ethernet1/0/0: 1.1.1.1/24
l IP address and port number of the primary proxy server: 2.2.2.2/5060
l SIP AG's ports directly connected to user terminals: port 2/0/0, port 2/0/1, and port 2/0/2
