Working Principle and Functions
3.1 System control and communication unit SCC
The system control and communication unit (SCC) is the base platform on which
BYPASS OP9000 system apply its management functions of NEs level. SCC can
directly control each sub-card in system by functions such as device config
management, fault management, performance management, safety management
and maintain management. It alse provide the function of alarm control of device.
Functions
Provide two standard self-adapted
10/100BaseT, auto MDI/MDIX interfaces
which comply with IEEE802.3. The self-adapted function is enabled by
default. Either crossover or straight-through Ethernet cable can be used. The
two interfaces are absolutely same, either one can be selected to connect with
the
NM or cascade NEs in the local node.
Provide a standard RS-232 serial interface for local debugging and
maintenance. (Factory use only)
Support optical supervisory channel (OSC) with the NEs for network
management.
Provide visual alarm for the system.
Provide RST button on the front panel for hardware reset.
Process the information of faulty management, performance management and
configuration management for each board.
Identify the availability of slots in the chassis.
Monitor the working status of FAN and PIU board in the chassis, and send
out alarm signals when there is alarm occurs.
Hot swap.
Working Principle
