3.3.2 Swapping Fiber Connector
Warning
Before connecting optical fiber, please clean up the optical connector to avoid
attenuation increase, which may lead to bit error and even service interruption.
Insert Fiber Connector
The LC/PC fiber connector can be inserted directly by hand.
Step Action

Take off the dust cap from the connector and clean the optical connector.

Align the LC/PC connector to the board optical interface; Push the connector
gently in along the guide rail until it clicks.
Note:
Please keep the dust cap for future use to protect the connector against dirt and dust.
Pulling Out Fiber Connector
The LC/PC fiber connector can be directly pulled out by hand. However, if the
optical fibers are distributed densely, a dedicated optical fiber extractor shall be
used.
