● The air conditioning system in the equipment room provides enough wind to
ensure proper heat dissipation of all components.
The server draws in cool air from the front of the cabinet and exhausts hot air
from the rear. Therefore, the front and rear of the cabinet must be well ventilated
for optimal heat dissipation. Figure 5-3 shows the direction of heat dissipation.

5.4.2 Temperature and Humidity Requirements
To ensure continued safe and reliable equipment operation, install or position the
system in a well-ventilated, climate-controlled environment.
● Use temperature control devices all year long in any climates.
● In dry and humid areas, maintain ambient humidity within range with
humidiers and dehumidiers respectively.

5.4.3 Cabinet Requirements
● A standard 19-inch cabinet with a depth of more than 1000 mm (39.37 in.).
