5. Install the Mask
When operating your MEGA Live 2 transducer in Foward Mode, your sonar return
may include faint double images caused by the beams bouncing off the surface of
the water. To prevent this, it is recommended to apply the included mask to your
transducer using the following instructions.

1. Clean your transducer with rubbing alcohol.
2. Remove the backing from the mask and press the adhesive side firmly into place
against the side of the trasnducer that will face up (as shown in the illustration
MEGA Live 2 Mask Placement).
NOTE
The side of the transducer that will face up is dependent on your installation confi guration.
Two unique masks are included with your accessory. Each mask is contoured to fi t one
side of the transducer. For use at 60°, use a long mask (7/8"). For use at 45°, use a short
mask (1/2"). If you plan to switch between angles frequently, Humminbird recommends
using the short mask (1/2").
