D. MAN / AUTO switch
The switch for the MAN / AUTO mode is located on
the instrument panel.
Trouble shooting the MAN / AUTO switch
The pins that are to make contact with each other in
the respective modes are marked with a cross (X).
Measure the resistance between the pins with an
ohmmeter. The resistance may not exceed 0.5 .
Resistance between the other pins is to be more
than 1000 .
Dismantling
1. Fold the engine hood forward.
2. Mark the cables with tape to simplify
identification when refitting.
3. Disconnect the cables.
4. Press together both flanges (4) on the top and
on the bottom of the MAN / AUTO switch, and
push it out at the front of the instrument panel.
Mounting
1. Push in the MAN / AUTO switch at the front of
the instrument panel, and make certain that it is
securely fitted.
2. Connect the marked cables to the MAN / AUTO
switch.
3. Lower the engine hood back into place.
