Microswitch in grass discharge
chute
When static pressure in the grass discharge chute
exceeds a certain value, (grass discharge chute is
full) the flap (6) opens. The flap actuates a
microswitch which breaks the power supply to the
electric clutch and the cutting unit stops.
Trouble shooting the microswitch in the grass
discharge chute
When the microswitch is in its deactivated mode, the
resistance between pin 1 and 2 is to be less than
0.5 . The resistance between the other pins is then
to be more than 1000 .
When the microswitch is in its activated mode, the
resistance between pin 1 and 3 is to be less than
0.5 . The resistance between the other pins is then
to be more than 1000 .
Dismantling
1. Mark the cables with tape to simplify
identification when refitting.
2. Disconnect the cables.
3. Remove the two nuts (4) and lock washers, and
move out the plate (5) from the inside of the
grass discharge chute.
Mounting
1. Move in the plate (5) through the grass
discharge chute and up to its correct position.
2. Fit the microswitch and the two nuts (4) and lock
washers.
3. Connect the marked cables.
