The controller also features a
Cache Backup Module
(CBM), consisting of a
super
capacitor
and a
Flash Backup Module
(FBM). The type of CBM module may vary
or maybe optional on some models.
The controller module contains no user-serviceable components except when users
are installing/ upgrading the cache memory or installing/replacing a CBM, the
controller module should never be removed or opened.
NOTE
The management port supports only 100Mbs and 1000Mbs (1Gbs) speeds.
Host boards are optional add-on components! There are two host board slots, if you
are installing a host board for the first time, please install it to the slot on the left (next
to SAS exp. Ports).
