Calibrate in the Instron Video Extensometer application
8800 or ElectroPuls testing systems using the 8800T or 8800D controller use the
Instron Video Extensometer application for calibration. You cannot calibrate the AVE2 or
SVE2 from Bluehill
®
.
The Instron Video Extensometer application is supplied with the video extensometer
instrument, separately from any other software, such as Bluehill
®
.
The following procedures describe how to calibrate the video extensometer:
using the tabbed dialog version of the Instron Video Extensometer Application
(resembles the Bluehill
®
3 user interface)
using the touch-enabled version of the Instron Video Extensometer Application
(resembles the Bluehill
®
Universal user interface)
Operation in Bluehill
®
software Calibration via the Instron Video Extensometer Application.
Additional manual calibration in 8800/ElectroPuls Console
calibration wizard in conjunction with the Analog Outputs
screen in the Instron Video Extensometer Application. As part
of the manual calibration, set transducer type to Strain (
Cali-
bration wizard > Transducer details
screen) to ensure that
it is recognized as a strain transducer in Console and software
applications such as Bluehill
®
and WaveMatrix™ software.
Recognition and configuration in
Bluehill
®
software
Strain device recognition. Requires selection of appropriate
device in Admin tab.
Additional requirements Limits must be set in 8800/ElectroPuls Console, cannot be set
in Bluehill
®
.
Compatibility with DIC Replay Not available.
