Set up WaveMatrix™ software for dynamic testing
To use the AVE2 for dynamic testing, you must use Console V8.11 or later with
WaveMatrix™ V1.9 or later.
Set up the video extensometer in 8800/ElectroPuls Console as described in
“Setting up and Running Tests with the AVE2” in the Console online help.
Set up and run your test in WaveMatrix™ in the usual way. For more details, refer to
“Setting up a WaveMatrix Test Method with the AVE2 Video Extensometer” in the
WaveMatrix™ online help.
Set up systems not using Bluehill
®
or
WaveMatrix™
If the AVE2 or SVE2 is installed on a testing machine that is not running Bluehill
®
or
WaveMatrix™ software, you interact with the video extensometer through the Instron
Video Extensometer Application.
The default system of units is SI. You can change this selection in the Admin screen.
The video extensometer communicates with the testing machine via the analog
output connections.
a. Perform the calibration procedure for a device connected to the analog outputs
on your testing machine.
b. Enter the full-scale value for axial and transverse strain in the Analog Outputs
screen in the Instron Video Extensometer Application.
