5.2 Suitable cable types
The maximum serial cable resistance must be no more than 100 ohm and the maximum
loop capacitance in parallel with this should not exceed 1uF.
This will ensure that 126 (900 Series) or 128 (2000 Series) detectors can be operated
over a distance of 2 km.

The cable resistance limit is calculated to maintain the minimum required
supply - voltage in the presence of the worst-case load conditions.
