improperlypositionedandsecured.Toavoidinjuryor

–ThecannulaMUSTberoutedandsecuredproperly.
–DONOTpositionthecannulaaroundtheneck.
Ensurethepatientcanmovefreelywhilewearingthe
cannula.
–Avoidpositioningcannulasacrossareasofhighfoot
traffic(i.e.aisles,doorways,hallways,etc.)

entanglement:
–Keepchildrenandpetsawayfromnasalcannulaand
tubing.
–Closesupervisionisnecessarywhenthenasalcannula
