Safefeatureisenabled.Fromthistime,speedand
accelerationisreduceddrastically.Itwillallowyouto
movethemobilitydeviceslowlyoutofadangerous
situationbeforetheelectronicnallycutsoff.Thisis
deepdischargingandshouldbeavoided.
•Beawarethatfortemperaturesbelow20°C,the
nominalbatterycapacitystartstodecline.Forexample,
at-10°Cthecapacityisreducedtoabout50%ofthe
nominalbatterycapacity.
•Toavoiddamagingthebatteries,neverallowthemto
befullydischarged.Donotdriveonheavilydischarged
batteriesifitisnotabsolutelynecessary,asthiswill
strainthebatteriesundulyandshortentheirlife
expectancy.
•Theearlieryourechargethebatteries,thelongerthey
live.
•Thedepthofdischargeaffectsthecyclelife.Theharder
abatteryhastowork,theshorterisitslifeexpectancy.

–Onedeepdischargestressesthesameas6normal
cycles(green/orangedisplayoff).
–Thebatterylifeisabout300cyclesat80%discharge
(rst3LEDoff),orabout3000cyclesat10%
discharge.
•Undernormaloperation,onceamonththebattery
shouldbedischargeduntilallgreenandorangeLEDare
off.Thisshouldbedonewithinoneday.A16hour
chargeafterwardsisnecessaryasreconditioning.
7.2.7Transportingbatteries
Thebatteriessuppliedwithyourmobilitydeviceare
nothazardousgoods.Thisclassicationisbasedonthe
GermanGGVSHazardousGoodsRoadTransportOrdinances,
andtheIATA/DGRHazardousGoodsRailTransport/Air
TransportOrdinances.Batteriesmaybetransportedwithout
restrictions,whetherbyroad,railorbyair.Individual
transportcompanieshave,however,guidelineswhichcan
possiblyrestrictorforbidcertaintransportprocedures.
Pleaseaskthetransportcompanyregardingeachindividual
case.
7.2.8Generalinstructionsonhandlingthebatteries
•Nevermixandmatchdifferentbatterymanufacturesor
technologies,orusebatteriesthatdonothavesimilar
datecodes.
•NevermixgelwithAGMbatteries.
•Thebatteriesreachtheirendoflifewhenthedrive
rangeissignicantlysmallerthanusual.Contactyour
providerorservicetechnicianfordetails.
•Alwayshaveyourbatteriesinstalledbyaproperly
trainedmobilitydevicetechnicianorapersonwith
adequateknowledge.Theyhavethenecessarytraining
andtoolstodothejobsafelyandcorrectly.
