6.1Introduction
Youroxygenconcentratorisintendedforindividualuseindoors.
Itisanelectronicallyoperateddevicethatseparatesoxygenfrom
roomair.Itprovideshighconcentrationofoxygendirectlytoyou
throughanasalcannula.Clinicalstudieshavedocumentedthat
oxygenconcentratorsaretherapeuticallyequivalenttoothertypesof
oxygendeliverysystems.
Yourproviderwillshowyouhowtouseyouroxygenconcentrator.
He/Sheshouldbecontactedwithanyquestionsorproblems
regardingyouroxygenconcentrator.Thisusermanualwilltellyou
aboutyourconcentratorandwillserveasareferenceasyouuse
yourconcentrator.
6.2SelectaLocation

–DONOTrelocatetheoxygenconcentratorwhilein
use.

–Locateandpositiontheconcentratorinawell
ventilatedspacesothattheairintakeandtheair
exhaustsarenotobstructed.
–NEVERblocktheairopeningsoftheconcentrator
orplaceitonasoftsurface,suchasabedorcouch,
wheretheairopeningmaybeblocked.
–Keeptheopeningsfreefromlint,hairandsimilar
foreignitems.
–Keepconcentratoratleast12inches(30,5cm)away
fromwalls,draperiesandfurniture.
–Avoiduseinpresenceofpollutants,smokeorfumes,
flammableanesthetics,cleaningagentsorchemical
vapors.
–Placeconcentratorinawellventilatedareatoavoid
airbornepollutantsand/orfumes.
–DONOTuseinacloset.
Youmayselectaroominyourhousewhereusingyouroxygen
concentratorwouldbemostconvenient.Yourconcentratorcanbe
easilyrolledfromroomtoroomonitscasters.
Youroxygenconcentratorwillperformbestwhenoperatedunder
theconditionsoutlinedintypicalproductparameters.
Usageinenvironmentsotherthanthosedescribedmayresultinthe
needforincreasedequipmentmaintenance.Theairintakeofthe
unitshouldbelocatedinawellventilatedareatoavoidairborne
pollutantsand/orfumes.
