PART 5: GENERAL CONTROLS AND OPERATION
5.1 Mechanical Functions
The Alpha MUTT
®
has two dual-line, 32-character, all-environment digital screens, each with their own
control knob. These screens are backlit for easy viewing at night, are sunlight-readable for daytime, and
are wide-angle viewable.
1. The UPPER LCD SCREEN is designated for Air Pressure Testing. The Control Knob to the right
of the screen can be used to access air brake leakdown test settings and view results on the LCD
screen.
2. The LOWER LCD SCREEN is designated for Voltage, Current, ABS Diagnostics and Settings
Menu. The Control Knob below it can be used to activate all electrical test modes, ABS diagnostics,
and circuits to be diagnosed, as well as cycling through submenus when using the ABS App (See
App Section for more details).
Auto Shutdown Feature
If left inactive for a period of 20 minutes, the Alpha MUTT
®
will enter a Sleep Mode and power down.
A sound is emitted every 20 seconds during Sleep Mode.
