6.2. Legionella prevention
Leaving the heater in STANDBY mode for more than a week may
lead to the presence of legionella bacteria.
After turning on again, the stored water must be heated to
maximum and the hot water pipes rinsed before use.
The water heater is equipped with an independent disinfection
program. After re-enabling, if the water heater has not been above
the disinfection temperature for a week, the water heater will
automatically heat the stored water to the maximum temperature.
1. Switch on the water heater.
2. Wait until the stored water has reached maximum temperature
for at least 10 minutes.
3. Flush the hot water pipes for 1 minute. Leave the water running
and avoid water misting.
ä Warning!
Avoid inhaling water vapour while flushing.
4. The stored water is heated according to the normal settings.
