Occupant Safety
Slider window latch style
Pull the lever down to unlock the window. Slide
the window to the right to open and exit the
vehicle. The screen does not need to be removed
from the window.
Lever style latch
Remove the screen by pulling the red tab (upper
right arrow). Pull the lever out from the sash
clamps. Swing the lever out so it is positioned
straight out from the window. Push the lever (and
window) out to open and exit the vehicle.
fire sAfety
If a re does start, follow these basic safety rules:
1. Have everyone evacuate the vehicle immediately.
2. After everyone is clear and accounted for, check the re to see if you can attempt to
put it out.
3. If it is large, or the re is fuel-fed, get clear of the vehicle and have the Fire Department
handle the emergency.
4. Do not attempt to use water to put out the re. Water can spread some types of re, and
electrocution is possible with an electrical re.
