12 Install the twenty-four pins 17, coated with grease,
between the pin grooves of the hub and the tooth
grooves of the reduction gears 4 and 5.
13 Fit outer bearing 21 onto hub 1. Use a hammer A and
pin punch B to tap the bearing outer shell at points
around its circumference until it is fully installed.
Note: If one or more of hub 1, spindle 2, holding flange 3,
bearing 21 and collar 11 have been renewed, set-up bearing
21 preload (see Setting-up Procedures) before proceeding to
step 14 below.
14 Line up the alignment marks on holding flange 3 and
spindle 2. Fit the flange over outer bearing 21, the outer
shell of which has been coated with molybdenum
disulphide lubricant. If necessary gently tap the flange
with a plastic hammer to seat it fully.
