(8) Prepareareplacementdrivepartfortheexpansionvalvecoil.Tomakesurethatthedriverposition
hasbeenadjusted,useadrivepartspeciedasaservicepart.
NOTE:
1.Becarefulthatdustandforeignmatterwillnotentertheconnectionportionduringreplacement.
Theconnectionportionexposedduetoreplacementisthecoreoftheexpansionvalvemechanism.
2.Donotdamagetheconnectionportionwithtools,etc.
(9) Attachthereplacementdriveparttotheexpansionvalveandaligntheirshafts.Thenattachthe
locknuttotheexpansionvalve.
(10)Tightenthelocknuttosomedegreebyhandandthencompletelywiththewrench.Thetightening
torqueshallbe8.9to11.1lbf·ft(12to15N·m).
NOTE:
Donotapplyanexcessiveforcetotheexpansionvalvecoil.Theexpansionvalvecoilisattached
withitseccentricityfacingtheoppositesideofthepipejoint.Thedirectiondoesnotaffectthevalve’s
opening/closingaction.Evenifthepositionoftheexpansionvalvecoilisslightlymisalignedafter
replacement,noadjustmentwithtoolswillbeneeded.
TURN OFF all power source switches.
NOTE:
1.Afterreplacement,attachthegaspipethermistorandtheliquidpipethermistorandtheexpansion
valvecoilinthereverseprocedure.Attachbutylsheettomakesurethatthereisnoclearance
betweenthethermistorsandbutylsheets.
2.Afterreplacement,checkthatthewiresdonotcontacttherunner.
