Design and function
The transmission’s serial number is stated on the
barcode decal located on the front of the housing
on the left-hand drive axle:
• The type designation is stated above the
barcode and starts with the letter “K”.
• The serial number is stated above the barcode
and has the prefix “s/n”.
• The manufacturer’s type number is stated under
the barcode and has the prefix “p/n”.
State the type designation and serial number when
ordering spare parts.
Engine
These Jonsered ride-on mowers have single cylin-
der, air-cooled engines from Briggs & Stratton.
More intricate engine repairs are not described in
this workshop handbook, these can instead be
read in Briggs & Stratton's own handbooks which
contain detailed information about adjusting and
repairing the engines. The handbooks can be
ordered from an authorized service workshop.
The table below includes the model numbers for
respective machines. These should be stated when
ordering the manual.

It is important that only original spare parts are
used when repairing the engines. If other parts are
used, the guarantee shall no longer be valid.
FR 13 and FRM 13 A have single cylinder side-
valve engines of 12.5 hp (metric horsepower) with
splash lubrication.
