1. SPECIFICATIONS
1.1. Outline of the Equipment
This equipment let the helps to detect the causes of marine accidents to prevent the recurrence in the future.
The equipment records voyage data, as required by the International Standard, during the navigation and the
hull data of the vessel.
1.2. Feature of new VDR/S-VDR
1.2.1. Common features in VDR/S-VDR
1) Black Box
▪ The operation panel on the door of RCU is removed.
▪ The external Operation Panel Unit is added to a standard equipment.
2) Radar image (option for S-VDR)
▪ 2 input ports for radar image
Selectable recording is normal function.
Recording Radar image from both of channels is optional function.
Refer to the 1.2.6 clause for details.
3) New Playback software
▪ Playback software for users is attached standard.
CF card adapter is attached standard.
Real time monitor and prolonged backup into HDD can be active.
▪ Replay software for accident investigators is attached standard.
The recorded data on capsule can be downloaded.
1.2.2. VDR (JCY-1800)
1) Reception of serial data (NMEA)
▪ Serial reception function is combined to RCU unit. (Combine DAU function)
▪ 32 input channels standard
2) Fixed capsule
▪ Using new VDR capsule produced by L-3
3) Diagnosis of JRC equipment by remote maintenance
▪ Remote maintenance function of JRC equipment is preinstalled.
Acquire maintenance data out put from JRC equipment
The acquired data can be downloaded.
