Error code Description of error Cause Item to be checked
E231 "With no magnetic-proper-
ty adjustment data" error
In the case the magnetic prop-
erty of the motor is not adjusted
after the motor replacement.
In the case the motor magnetic
property adjustment data cannot
be read.
Adjust the magnetic property of the motor.
(Refer to the Engineer's Manual for details.)
Check the motor-encoder connector.
E302 Tilt detection switch • In the case the Tilt detection
switch is turned ON when the
power to the sewing machine
remains ON.
Check whether the machine head is tilted
before turning OFF the power switch (The
sewing machine operation is prohibited for
the sake of safety.).
E303 Meniscus sensor error In the case the meniscus sensor
signal cannot be detected.
• Check for a break in the motor encoder
connector.
E402 Deletion disabled error
E407 Wrong password • In the case the password you
have entered is not correct.
E411 Step sewing pattern regis-
tration disabled error
• In the case of attempting to
create 11 or more step sewing
patterns.
E414 Already existing le • In the case of attempting to
creating the keylock resetting
le which has the name that is
same as the existing le in the
USB thumb drive.
E415 File name contains an
unusable character(s)
• In the case of attempting to
assign a name that contains
an unusable character(s) when
creating a le.
E416 Enter a le name • In the case of attempting to
conrm the created le without
assigning a name to it.
E489 Internal error
E499 Simplied program fault
E703 Sewing machine model
error
• In the case the model name of
sewing machine does not match
the model name registered on
the operation panel.
E704 Data failure (system-ver-
sion mismatch)
In the case the system version
does not match the machine
head setting.
Re-write the system version to the applicable
one.
E706 Operation panel fault
E731
Motor hole sensor fault
In the case the motor signal is
not input properly.
Check whether the motor signal connector
has loosened or slipped off.
Check whether the motor signal cord has
broken by being caught under the machine
head.
Check whether the insertion direction of the
motor encoder connector is correct.
E733
Reverse rotation of mo-
tor
• This error occurs in the case the
motor rotates at the speed of
500 sti/min or more, in the di-
rection opposite to the indicated
direction of rotation.
Check whether the main shaft motor encoder
wire connection is correct.
Check whether the main shaft motor wire
connection for power is correct.
E750 Sewing machine stops In the case the safety switch for
the optional input is pressed.
