CAUTION: If you are mounng mulple units on a rack, mount the heaviest unit at the
boom of the rack, and then mount the other units from the boom of the rack to the
top in decreasing order of the weight of the units.
To mount an EX4400 switch in a recessed posion from the front posts of a 19-in. four-post rack:
1. Place the switch on a at, stable surface.
2. Wrap and fasten one end of the ESD wrist strap around your bare wrist, and connect the other end
of the strap to a site ESD point.
3. Unscrew and detach the L-shaped bracket from the side rail in the front mounng bracket assembly
provided with the four-post rack mount kit (see Figure 91 on page 154).

4. Aach the recessed-mounng brackets provided with the four-post rack mount kit to the side rails
by using the at head 4-40 Phillips screws provided with the four-post rack mount kit (see Figure
92 on page 154).

5. Align the recessed-mounng bracket assembly along the side panel of the switch.
