NOTE: The DC power source cables required is 14–16 AWG with ring lug (Molex
190700069 or equivalent) (not provided).
CAUTION: Ensure that each power cable lug seats ush against the surface of the
terminal block as you are ghtening the screws. Ensure that each screw is properly
threaded into the terminal. Applying installaon torque to the screw when
improperly threaded might result in damage to the terminal.
CAUTION: The maximum torque rang of the terminal screws on the DC power
supply is 6 lb-in. (0.7 Nm). The terminal screws might be damaged if excessive
torque is applied. Use only a torque-controlled driver to ghten screws on the DC
power supply terminals. Use an appropriately sized driver, with a maximum torque
capacity of 6 lb-in. or less. Ensure that the driver is undamaged and properly
calibrated and that you have been trained in its use. You might want to use a driver
that is designed to prevent overtorque when the preset torque level is achieved.
6. Replace the clear plasc cover over the terminals on the faceplate.
7. Repeat Step 3 through Step 5 for the remaining power supply.
8. Aach an ESD grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect the other end of the strap to an
approved site ESD grounding point. See the instrucons for your site.
9. Connect each DC power cable to the appropriate external DC power source.
NOTE: For informaon about connecng to external DC power sources, see the instrucons
for your site.
10. Switch on the external circuit breakers to provide voltage to the DC power source cable leads.
11. Power on the power supply at source. Observe the power status LED on the router. If a DC power
supply is installed correctly and funconing normally, the status LED lights green steadily.
If the status LED indicates that the power supply is not funconing normally, repeat the installaon
and cabling procedures.
