Care

Handling
You
must
handle
your
compact
discs,
cassette
tapes,
and
tape
deck
careful-
ly
to
keep
them
for
a
long
time.

If
the
tape
is
loose
in
the
cassette,
take
up
the
slack
by
inserting
a
pencil
in
one
of
the
reels
and
rotating.
If
the
tape
is
loose,
it
may
get
stretched,
cut,
or
caught
in
the
cassette.
Do
not
touch
the
tape
surface.
Do
not
store
the
tape:
In
dusty
places
In
direct
sunlight
or
heat
In
moist
areas

Near
a
magnet
If
the
head,
capstans,
and
pinch-rollers
of
the
tape
deck
become
dirty,
the
following
will
occur:
Impaired
sound
quality
Discontinous
sound
Fading
Incomplete
erasure
Impossible
to
record
Clean
the
head,
capstans,
and
pinch-rollers
with
a
cotton
swab
moistened
with
alcohol.

head
becomes
magnetized,
it
will
produce
noise
or
lose
high
frequencies.
To
demagnetize
the
head,
turn
off
the
sys-
tem,
and
use
a
head
demagnetizer
(availa-
ble.

electronics

Remove
the
CD
from
the
case
by
holding
it
at
the
|
edges
while
pressing
the
center
hole
lightly.

Donottouch
the
shiny
surface
of
the
CD,
or
bend
the
CD.
Place
the
CD
in
the
tray
with
the
label
up.

Put
the
CD
back
in
its
case
after
use
to
prevent
warping.
@
Avoid
exposure
to
direct
sunlight,
temperature
extremes,
and
moisture.
@
If
the
CD
becomes
dirty,
wipe
it
with
a
soft
dry
cloth
in
a
straight
line
from
center
to
edge.

Do
not
use
any
solvent
(for
example,
conventional
record
cleaner,
spray,
thinner,
benzine,
etc.)
Only
use
compact-discs
bearing
the
mark
shown
below.

distance

receiver
and
