variable list
The following is a listing and description of each variable on this page.
A "` " mark shows the values that you can edit. A "#" indicates that the
value is changed by a Function key. A $ symbol indicates that the value
can be changed but you should let the controller do it for you.
Variable Name Edit? Description
Weight Sample Time
(msec)
$
This value sets the length of the
weight sample time period. The
smaller the setpoint as a function of
the gross scale range, the larger this
number should be. The value 4500
msec is the maximum entry. If the
Adaptive Tuning is Enabled, this
value is calculated for you
automatically.
Range of Values
500 to 4500 msec
Massflow Standard
Deviation
$
This value represents the square
root of the 2 sigma weight residual
calculations as done by the Kalman
filter. The larger the number, the
poorer the environment is treating
the feeder. The smaller the number
the more accurate is likely the
massflow result. This number is
calculated by the Kalman filter
when the Adaptive Tuning is
enabled. Numbers in the range of
20-50 are good. Numbers larger
than 100 require work to be done to
the installation to reduce the
vibration to the feeder.
Range of Values
1 to 999
