Controls

slope

trace
line.
The
slope
of the
line
will
change
due to
external
influences

magnetic
field
of the
earth.
Use the
screwdriver included with
the accessories
to
adjust
the
trace
line
parallel
with
the
horizontal
axis
graticule.

FOCUS
control
Adjusts
the
focus
to
obtain
the
clearest
display.

INTENSITY
control
Adjusts
the
brightness
of the
trace
line.
®
CAL
terminal
A
voltage terminal
for
calibration.
Used
for
ad
just
ing
the
probe.
Outputs
1 Vp-p,
positive
polarity,
approx.
1 kHz
square
waves.

GND
terminal
Used
to set up a
common
ground
with
other
equipment.

MODE
selector
Selects
the
vertical
axis
operation
modes.
CHI
: CHI
input signal is displayed
on the CRT.
ADD :
Algebraic
sum of CHI and CH2
signals
is
displayed
on the CRT.
If
CH2 is
set
to INV,
difference
between
CHI and CH2
signals
is displayed.
CH2 : CH2
input signal is displayed
on the CRT.
CH3
: CH3
Input signal is displayed
on the CRT.
ALT/CHOP:
Selects
the ALT and
CHOP
modes.
In the ALT mode,
input
signals
are
displayed
alternately
every
sweep
in the
multi-trace
mode. In the
CHOP
mode,
input
signals
are
displayed
alternately
at a
repetition
rate
of
approx.
250 kHz
(in dual-trace operation), regardless
of
sweep
time.
