Self-test procedures
A power-on self-test occurs automatically when you turn on the power supply. This limited test assures you that the
power supply is operational.
The complete self-test of the power supply is enabled by pressing the Recall key or any front panel keys except the
Error key and the power-line switch simultaneously . Then continue to press the Recall key for 5 seconds. It will take
another 2 seconds for the complete self-test to end.
You can also perform a complete self-test from the remote interface see SCPI Programming for details.
– If the self-test is successful, "PASS" is displayed on the front panel.
– If the self-test fails, "FAIL" is displayed and the ERROR annunciator turns on. Record the error code and message
and contact Keysight support if necessary.
– If the self-test is successful, this indicates a high chance that the power supply is operational.
To replace the power-line fuse
The power-line fuse is located within the power supply's fuse-holder assembly on the rear panel see Getting Started
> Options and Fuse Information for details. For 100 or 115 Vac operation, you must use a 2.0 AT time-delay fuse.
For 230 Vac operation, you must use a 1.0 AT time-delay fuse.
