Trouble Cause Countermeasure
Engine overheats Engine overloaded
Low coolant level
Loose or defective fan belt
Dirty radiator core or grille screens
Coolant flow route corroded
Shift to lower gear or reduce load.
Fill cooling system to the correct level;
check radiator and hoses for loose
connections or leaks.
Adjust or replace fan belt.
Remove all trash.
Flush cooling system.
