6.4 Initiating a Call
If the current channel is digital, you may perform any of the followings.
Call the default contact: Press the PTT key. The indicator will be on with red light, indicating the radio is
transmitting signals. The call page containing the contact name and the call type will be displayed. The
default contact of the current channel can be set by the dealer through programming, or via the menu in
the contact list.
Select and call a contact: Go to the “Contact” menu, and select a contact from the Contact List, and then
press the PTT key to call.
Dial to call: Go to the Contact menu and then the Manual Dial page, enter a contact ID, and then press the
PTT key to call.
If the current channel is analogue, press the PTT key to call. The indicator will be on with red light,
indicating the radio is transmitting signals.
6.5 Receiving a Call
When the radio receives RF signals on the current channel and the squelch level is reached, the green
