11. Advanced Functions
11.1 Checking a Radio
Radio Check feature is used to check whether a target radio is activated in the system. The target user will
automatically send a response to the caller radio without any audible or visual indication.
1) Initiating Radio Check
a) In the home page, press to enter the menu.
b) Select “Contact”.
c) Select “Contact List”, and then select a target private call contact.
d) Select “Radio Check”.
e) The screen will show the alias or ID of the target contact, and indicates that the radio is sending radio
check; the red indicator glows.
f) Wait for response from the target radio.
g) If the target radio is activated in the system and it responds successfully, the message “radio available”
will be displayed on the sender radio, otherwise “request timed out” will be displayed.
