The Viewinder is based on an integrated Video Assist
System, where the image through the lens is bypassed
and projected on a frosted ground glass, when the shutter
is closed. This technique is also used in video assists on
16 & 35mm motion picture cameras. The projected image
is captured with a CMOS camera to get displayed on the
LCD. This internal optical path causes a visible texture on
the viewinder image, which is an unchangeable part of
this optical system.
