Place the side of the document that you want to scan face down on the surface of the flatbed glass
as shown in the following steps and diagrams.
1. Place the document in the upper left corner of the glass. If the document is bent or folded,
straighten the document.
2. Place the shorter edge of the document along the left edge of the flatbed glass. Match the
shorter edge with the standard mark.
3. Place the longer edge of the document along the top edge of the flatbed glass. Match the
longer edge with the standard mark.

Note
If the document is slanted and not properly aligned along the left and top edges of the flatbed glass,
the document will not be scanned properly.
